It’s that time of the year when we start counting-down to the Xmas break.
We begin to dare to dream about sleep-ins, catching up with long-lost friends, or maybe even spending entire days horizontal with a book (bliss!).
As we head into this time of the year, let’s also reflect that it is not such a nice time for many people. It can be a time of high stress, loneliness, and financial pressure for many. We don’t need to look far to see this around us. It’s like someone has turned the dial on the world up to double or triple-time. People become frenetic to go-there, get-that, or be-this. It can get a little (well maybe a lot) nuts!
So my invitation to you is to slow down, notice and connect.
- Let that person go first.
- Pay attention to the little moments.
- And smile or say hello to a neighbour or stranger.
Go well over this break and keep safe.
Can’t wait to ‘see’ you all in the New Year!
MA xoxo
