Who are your First Followers?

This week I wish to share a video that calls us to consider some of the most courageous people in a change movement: the first followers.

The video shows how the most courageous person in any change process or movement is the first follower, not necessarily the person leading it. The first follower places themselves in a space of vulnerability initially, until the tipping point is made and the majority of people join the movement.

Leaders need to awhi their first followers – without them, they don’t have a movement.
